Contacts Lookup
Direct emails for the people who actually decide on the role — sourced from real signals, not scraped lists.
Why this beats "Apply Now"
Job-board applications land in an applicant tracking system queue alongside everyone else who applied, and many never get a reply.
Direct outreach to a real hiring manager lands in one inbox. Not because the email is magic, but because you are now talking to the person who can actually say yes. It does not guarantee a reply; it gives your application a person behind it.
What you get
For each company you target, Contacts Lookup returns:
- Decision-makers — hiring managers, team leads, and exec sponsors with real authority over the role
- Recruiters with influence — internal recruiters and TA leads who route candidates inside the company
- Work emails where available — direct addresses, checked for deliverability before sending
- Context — title, team, seniority, and how each contact connects to the role you're chasing
How the matching works
Three signals feed the ranking:
- LinkedIn profiles — current title, tenure, and team graph
- Role signals — recent hiring posts, team growth patterns, and reporting structure
- Company structure — how the org is shaped around the function you're targeting
The output isn't a scrape of every employee. It's a small, ranked shortlist — usually 3–5 names per company — focused on people who are positioned to say yes (or to forward you to the person who can).
Two ways to run it
Ranked shortlist (recommended)
You upload your resume, we use the role and your background to rank contacts, and you get a tailored list per company. Best when you don't yet know which companies you're going to chase. Takes 2–3 minutes.
Instant lookup
You already know the company. You hit search. Contacts come back fast — no resume ranking, no wait. Your resume is still pulled into the outreach draft. Takes seconds.
What happens after the lookup
Each contact has a Reach Out button. We draft a real, personalized email — using your resume as context and the role as the hook — and you send it from your connected Gmail (or copy it into any mail client yourself). Sent messages are listed in your hub alongside the contact and the role. Career Offensive cannot read your inbox, so replies arrive in Gmail and you mark the outcome in your hub.
That's the loop: find the person → send from your inbox → track the conversation.
What it isn't
- It isn't a giant database of every employee in every company. The point is a short, ranked list of the right people — not exhaustive coverage.
- It isn't bulk email. Contacts Lookup on its own never sends anything: you read the draft, edit it, and send it. If you turn on auto-outreach (Campaign and Guided Launch plans), messages still go one at a time from your Gmail, capped at 5 per day by default, and anything the quality check is unsure about waits for your approval.
- It doesn't promise a reply. It puts you in front of someone who can actually act, which is the part of the funnel that's been broken.
Plans
Contacts Lookup is included in Campaign ($20/month) and Guided Launch ($149/year). Guided Launch adds human-assisted research for the contacts you care most about.
